In this, I'm talking about the Celtics Thomas, not the bad boys Pistons which I will talk about in a different post. Anyways, this Celtics star is SO underrated. He has gone through so much to get to where he is today. First of all, he is 5'9. No one can hardly play basketball under 6ft tall. He started off at Washington University. He only averaged 15 points. He also was not a great shooter. In his Senior year at Washington, he declared for the NBA draft. People thought he was joking. People thought he was just messing around. When they heard it was official, people laughed. It was draft day and he was picked last. He was picked 30th pick of the 2nd round. He was chose by the Sacremento Kings. Later in his career, he got traded to the Suns. He came off the bench. After he got traded to the Celtic, things went uphill. In 2016 he just went off for the Celtics. He averaged 19 points. This year he has just been off the walls. Averaging 28.9 points, and 4 assists. He is 5'8 and averaging that much. The Celtics got the 1 seed in the east beating the Cavs. I as a huge Spurs fan want them to win but I would like to see Boston pull it out. A tragedy occured in his family a couple weeks a go though his sister passed away. Chyna Thomas, was only 21 years old when she died in a fatal wreck. This is a side note but please send your prayers too Isaiah and his family. The Celtics were down 2-0 in the series. They came back and tied it 2-2. Isaiah had a quote a couple weeks ago that really moved me. A reporter asked him a question on if he was suprised if his team came back from 2-0. He simply said "I've been proving people wrong my whole life."

I'm doing this post in honor of Westbrook breaking the triple record. He beat Oscar "Big O's" Robertons record. 42 triple doubles in a season. That would be even impressive for Jordan. For a 6'3 point guard to beat the record that's impressive. Also he is leading OKC to a 6 seed in the West.
OKC is playing the Houston Rockets, which is James Harden's team. I will talk about him in another post. It will be a tough series for OKC but they can beat the Rockets. Jame Harden will be a tough "which I will talk about in another post" but they have a chance. Russ has led them to the playoffs, and they won't stop now. Beating Big O's record was a big milestone for basketball. Oscar is a grat and Russ made a name for himself. He's far from a great. If he doesn't win a championship he won't bve considered one but he is still young... This one player was very good, but not like the players I have been writing about. The reason I'm writing about him he's my cousin. I am very proud to have a cousin that played pro basketball and was very good! That's not the real reason I like him is he is a great man. He would do anything for us. Anyway, he started off at Diamond Bar High School. Eventually, he went to the University of Utah. Is the WAC (Western Athletic Confrence) all time leading scorer with 2740 points. He led Utah to 3 top 25 finishes. After is career at Utah he declared for the draft. He was drafted second overall by the Philidelphia 76ers. On that same night, he got traded to the New Jersey Nets. In his career at New Jersey he averaged 20 points. After the Nets, he played for the Knicks, Mavericks, and Bucks. When he retired in 2008, he averaged 16 points and 7 rebounds in his career. Not only was he a great player, but a great and lax cousin.
Steph Curry is definitely a great shooter. In my opinion, the best ever. I'm not even a Warriors fan but he is just simply, WOW. Steph doesn't even try most of the time shooting, he just lets it fly! His dad (Dell Curry) was a NBA player which is one of the reasons I believe he is so good. Also, he's the 4th highest paid player on the Warriors at only 6 million. I respect that. He can make anyone better he plays for. He's one 2 MVP awards and one of them was a anonymous MVP. He is very young and already number 9 on all time made 3s. All I'm saying his he's under 30 and already the best shooter ever. He has a bright future.
Shaquille O'neal. He's one of the best Big's of all time. At 7'1 330, he was a load to guard. He is one of the heaviest, yet strongest players in NBA history. He went to college at Louisiana State University. He played with the Cavailers, Celtics, Magic, Suns, Lakers, and Heat. He is one of my favorite players. He won 4 championships. He is still in sports as a ESPN sports analysist. Back in the day Shaq had some great talent with him. Just a few of them were Kobe Bryant, Penny Hardaway, Horace Grant, Dwayne Wade and many more. This was more than likely part of his success throughout the years, but he was always the leader. Even playing with young Kobe Bryant, he was a star. Shaq is what it took to be a great big and he certainly was.
So I'm gonna do a section on the best in my opinion top 5 players of all time. LeBron James. he is 6'8 275 and has a 48 inch vertical. Yeah he's a Hulk to guard. The thing about him is though he can dribble, shoot, run, pass, and can play anywhere on the basketball court. In my opinion he's the strongest NBA player to ever play the game. But the one dis advantage of him is he can be a total wimp. He also demands play makers. That's a snotty attitude when you have quite possibly the best play maker in the NBA. He has Kyrie Irving and JR Smith 2 great passers that can give him good shots. That's Lebron's only weak point in my opinion. Some great things he does though is he's an extraordinary finisher. He can throw down dunks like nobody I've ever seen. He's also a great passer. He gives his team so many great shots. Overall, Lebron is a great player but every king has it's kryptonite.
